Mantras for Various Problems

For understanding problems / gaining clarity on situations

Invoke Saraswati with Om Aim Saraswatyae Swaha for understanding what's going on.  This is a very important mantra, as understanding life is perhaps the most crucial thing for making solid progress and avoiding future problems and extricating ourselves from current issues.  This mantra may take some sustained work but Saraswati is unbeatable for figuring out what's going on and how we laid the foundations for these situations we find ourselves in.  We are always the source of all our problems - the key is seeing the whole karmic situation clearly which is not natural at all for humanity.  Saraswati can gives us this clarity if we allow her to dispel our ignorance.

Lower back pain

The Lalitā mantra for wealth can be very helpful for correcting problems at the bottom of the spine.  This rectifies and strengthens the base chakra and gives support to the entire spine - removing all tensions up to the top of the head.  While a regular practice will give help over time, for quick relief you should do this mantra as much as possible while driving, walking etc when you can focus on it.  It can also help with constipation too, as the downwards energy required for bowel motions is ruled by the two lower chakras at the bottom of the spine.

Also Om Ham Hanumatae Namaha will gradually heal the back and body too - as will Om Namah Shivaya and especially Om Aim Hreem Kleem Chāmundāyae Vicchae Namaha.

Oppressive situations at work

Especially with personality conflicts at work, try Om Aim Shreem Lalitāyae Namaha to remove disharmony and bring in joy, understanding and a lighter atmosphere.  Best to do this on an ongoing basis while these problems persist.  If you can't focus on work and the mantra at the same time, make sure you take time out regularly to work on the mantra to keep bringing the energy in.  Remember it's not just the repetitions that count, it's the actual energy that you bring in - which requires some focus.  This can be easier when meditating, being in nature or walking.

Also Om Shree Rāma Jaya Rāma Jaya Jaya Rāma can help with destroying enmity. This can be very good for getting out of "the dog box" if you have really annoyed people.

Feeling ground down at work / Not being respected enough

Calling in Lord Shiva can work wonders here - Om Namah Shivaya.  This is a phenomenal mantra for mental clarity, general energy levels plus it will help you gain people's respect.  (You do need to remember to put some focus on the mantra though to really make the most of this one at work.)  Once you really work with this one, look at yourself in the mirror and see the transformation.  It can be hard to believe!  Also when the energy is really surging, people can be really surprised at the difference they see in you.

Another excellent mantra here is Om Shree Rāma Jaya Rāma Jaya Jaya Rāma.  It does equally powerful as Om Namah Shivaya but it does elevate your mind and your status in the minds of others, also making you more likely to be in a position where you are managing others.  (Remember this is the mantra of prince Rama who became a great King.)

Lack of joy in life

There are many options here:

  • Om Aim Kleem Sauh Sauh Kleem Aim - the pure, child-like Lalitā mantra for joy, beauty, being more in touch with nature etc.  However - this is not recommended for technical or stressful office work nor for serious financial decisions.
  • Om Graam Greem Graum Sauh Guravae Namaha - brings out your smile and attracts good company, good conversations and gradually builds a good circle of friends - plus it will repel people who would not be good for you to be friends with.  As planetary mantras like this one only focus on part of the personality, it's best not to do this one too intensely as it can make you and people around you a little unbalanced, i.e. too light-hearted or too chatty.  Great as a regular discipline of 5 or 10 minutes each day to adjust your personality.  Having said that, it's good also to have the mantra running in the back of your mind for a few hours when you'd particularly like the time to be light and fun.
  • Om Aim Shreem Lalitāyae Namaha - for lightening all situations, good luck and making things work out well and getting on with other much better.

Food poisoning

Place hands above the affected area and invoke Kālī to clear the problem chanting Om Hreem Shreem Kleem Adya Kalika Parameshwari Swaha. If you have real devotion to Kālī, this can have a phenomenal effect.  Otherwise Om Aim Hreem Kleem Chāmundāyae Vicchae Namaha is good to chant but take your probiotics too!

Bad dreams / psychic attack

Invoke Kālī chanting Om Hreem Shreem Kleem Ādyā Kālikā Parameshwari Swāhā or Chamundi with Om Aim Hreem Kleem Chāmundāyae Vicchae Namaha.

Lack of energy

The quickest way to replenish your energy is to use the Chāmundi mantra: Om Aim Hreem Kleem Chāmundāyae Vicchae Namaha.  However this can be a bit intense for some people - especially if you are not familiar with Her or are prone to anger or stress.  Calling in Lord Shiva - Om Namah Shivaya - is also very strengthening.  There is also a gentler mantra than the Chāmundi mantra which unerringly destroys any fatigue when we have things to do, which is the basic Hanuman mantra - Om Ham Hanumatae Namaha - though you might need to give it a little more time to get the effects.  It is especially good when you have some tasks to do and suddenly feel the energy draining out of you.  Hanuman is great for combating this kind of problem and for becoming a tireless and inspired worker.

I believe it's best to gradually wean yourself off any stimulants like coffee, tea, as much as possible if you want to get the best effects from these mantras - plus having a good diet and getting enough sleep.

Nervousness / Lacking confidence / Sluggish digestion / Back pain around the navel area

Use the sun mantra Om Hraam Hreem Hraum Sauh Suryaaya Namaha or the Chamundi mantra for quicker but more intense results - Om Aim Hreem Kleem Chāmundāyae Vicchae Namaha.  Remember for sluggish digestion, it might be good to see what foods you digest well and which ones aren't good for you.  It's very hard for mantras to really do their best when we're on a poor diet.

Feeling hopeless / helpless

The Chamundi mantra drives away any hopeless feelings and instils strength of will and a grounded optimism - Om Aim Hreem Kleem Chamundayae Vicchae Namaha.
